It is with great regret that I announce that Kat, who helped create Ak-Ana, is leaving the troupe, due to logistics and personal vision.

Happily, she will still be dancing, with our friends at Mahira Tribe.

Kat and I also may be dancing together in projects outside of Ak-Ana.

I'd like to thank Kat for her contributions to Ak-Ana!

I'm sorry to hear the news. I can see how bittersweet this must be. And yet, I know you wish her all the best and will continue to see her at events. Mahira will (has) welcome her in and make her part of their family. It's great to see when dancers and troupes are sisterly and supportive of each other. I'm glad everyone can remain so friendly.

Does this make Ak-Ana a duet now? Perhaps this will give you an opportunity to reinvent or revise your own vision. It's probably too soon to decide what direction you ladies will take next. However, I hope you stay together and keep dancing as Ak-Ana. I just love watching you ladies do your thing!

For now, it seems we are a duet; and we will be talking about where our vision will go next. Wherever it goes, it will be an interesting trip!

I am definitely sad to see Kat and Megan go...though they each had great ideas and input to the troupe. I am thankful it was a very amicable split. No personality conflicts or cattiness <amen for that!>, just life going in diferent directions.

Christi and I have a good deal of irons in the fire, both with Ak'Ana and Devi'ance.
and even though I'll eventually be moving about an hour or so out of the immediate area (no date yet) and time will then be limited, I don't plan on letting either project fall by the wayside. But, we'll cross that bridge when the path comes to it.

Lookin' forward to seein' y'all at da Caravan!!
