OK, some exciting events happening here in Philadelphia!

The first event is Niyaz at the Trocadero Theatre, April 27, 2007. From 6 p.m.
to 8 p.m. before the show, also at the Trocadero, there will also be a Persian dance
workshop with Laurel Victoria Gray (Silk Road Dance Company). For $45, you get the workshop
and a ticket to the show! Niyaz is a fantastic band; to see them live is an amazing
experience.

The second event is sponsored by Ak-Ana:

June 2-3, at Spirit Wind Internal Arts Society in Philadelphia, Ak-Ana is proud
to present two days of instruction with Philly's own Habiba in Ghawazi dance. There will be
a hafla featuring Habiba on June 2 in the evening. Vendors welcome. Dancers who want a slot
in the hafla can contact me or Jaz.

The workshop will be $75 for Saturday only, or $150 for both days (don't miss
Day 2, when Habiba teaches an 11-minute choreography, including cane, given to her by
the Benat Mazin).
